You shall surely give to him, and your heart should not be grieved when you give to him, because for this thing the Lord your God will bless you in all your works and in all to which you put your hand.

Faith in Action Grants Program

2027 Grant Cycle will open March 9, 2026

The FAITH IN ACTION Grants program is for parishes, missions, schools, programs and ministries within the Diocese of Helena. Please read our Grant Guidelines to see what types of grants the Foundation will and will not support.

Since 2007 the Foundation has been providing grants of up to $5,000 each to parishes and Catholic ministries and has awarded more the $1.37 million! These monies help fund needed projects and the Foundation’s dream is to see transformative evangelization result from the use of these grants.

Dream BIG!

One transformative grant–up to $15,000–will be awarded to a grant applicant that actively and imaginatively seeks to build an endeavor aimed at reaching outside the walls of its parish and into its community to bring the Good News and God’s love to all people. This is a grant aimed at encouraging our parishes, clergy and laity to dream big about how to confront the realities of our times by bringing Christ to His people in new and innovative ways. Now more than ever the creativity and life of the Holy Spirit yearns for us to courageously take on this apostolic spirit and this grant is meant to help procure and launch this New Evangelization.

Last year's grant recipients received $90,000 in grants from the Foundation for the Diocese of Helena.
